What did teaching and guiding visitors teach you that board service alone couldn't?

Well, it was interesting because at the Krieger, I was not at the Krieger very long, but I was part of the initial docent group there.

I worked with adults, and that's when I decided I really didn't like working with adults.

Because, well, you're put in this awkward position of someone pontificating, and you have to explain to that person that the information that they are saying is incorrect.

And that never goes well.

Right.

Oh, wow.

And what I'm curious about is what gives you hope about the future direction of museums? And very specifically, in 20 or 30 years, what do you hope your gift to the Baltimore Museum of Art has ultimately achieved?
