[laughs]

Um, but, you know, once, one thing that I think that we're not doing a great job at is allowing our kids to fail, and to make mistakes, and to problem solve today while growing up in our home.

And when I was writing my book, uh, Parent On Purpose, I interviewed several different professors, and deans, um, and employers, asking them what they see, you know, in the young adults that are coming to their campuses and to their workplace, and every single one of them said the same thing.

They all said they don't know how to problem solve.

And so I found that really great, because that's great, uh, insight for us as parents, that we've got to do a better job of letting our kids learn to solve problems for themselves.

And I, I find it very hard to do that sometimes, because I'm efficient.

I know how to solve problems.

No.

Yeah.

And if we look at the launch at 18-ish, then I'm, I'm down to my last six years, right? And so those are really important years to make sure that it's now time to, um, raise them as an, up to be, you know, confident, capable adult.

And how do I do that, and what do I do? So I think it's around that age, too.

They start complaining about the lunch you pack, and they start complaining about the clothes you pick or whatever you've been doing for 'em, you know.

They start to show you they want that independence.

They want, I don't know that they want to be packing their own lunches, but it's time.

It's time to start taking on their personal responsibilities.

Mm
