So for those who don't know, if you become Isr- an Israeli citizen or you are in Israel and you're going to do a conversion in Israel, the only ones that will be recognized are not only Orthodox, but Orthodox through Rabbinate approved, um, systems.

So many people warned me about this before I made Aliyah, "You should convert, you should convert, you should convert.

You won't be seen as Jewish, you won't be counted as Jewish, you won't be counted as Jewish." And it's true.

And I went through many, many times of do I want to convert, do I not want to convert? But because I was already Israeli and in Israel, the only option I had that would even make a difference for the system was to do it through the Rabbinate, and I really did not want to do that for a number of reasons.
