So tell us a little bit about the, um, the organization St- the State Revenue Alliance, and tell us a little about Amber, but also about the organization.

Well, thank you, Richard.

Uh, I'm Amber.

I live in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and I'm really lucky to lead the State Revenue Alliance.

And we get to work with state-based community groups across nearly 40 states that are working To find and implement better tax policies that better support the programs and services that matter most to families and communities all across the country.

So thinking about how we're funding healthcare, how we're ensuring that our kids have access to great schools, how we ensure that multiple generations of families have access to economic opportunity.

These are all tied to how much revenue our states are raising.

So, so Amber, let's talk a little bit about what that means and how you go about, um, putting that into play.

It's like the

home version of that.

So I might walk to this corner, you walk to that one.

We meet on the corner at the coffee shop.

Because there are not two cars just for role play in our home.

But we do like, now that we have two kids, we really are more intentional about like, Okay, let's sneak

Yeah.

Okay, 'cause now you got him on the hook.

Now I got him on the hook.

I said, "I'm not paying you another dime until the following things are done." And so he never actually took care of the following...

He would try to take care of them, but it was just...

It was like a house of horrors.

Like, for example, one time, I said, "Hey, you told me that my room would have a new paint job." Lacey, this happened to me.

I said, "You told me my, my room would have a paint job." So I said, "Can you get somebody to paint the room by the end of the week?" He said, "I can start with that.
