You know, and you'll be, like, hanging out with your friends and they'll be like, yeah, I turn in my reports and...

My totals for Q4 were completely ruined because I forgot that we had a deal that never went through.

And I'm like, I don't know what you're talking about.

And I picked the wrong fart sound.

It would have been twice as funny if the fart had been squeaky.

Is that right? What is it like to write that for late-night TV versus doing improv?

And we were like, well, now, this, our show is about a crooked mayor who is perpetually drunk, who uses Bigfoot as a scapegoat while he robs the townspeople.

And I was like, this is literally happening.

When we wrote that show, we were like, ha ha, isn't this preposterous? And slept in a safe country.

Right.

And then what? Amen.

Then they're like, okay, now can you write a book? I'm like, yeah, I can do

And-

And-Uh, when you have a child who's in the forest because of who they are and because the town isn't perhaps ready, even though you know that they would love him, um, you find yourself, you know, painting pictures and, and creating an i- an ideal life of what is to come.

And, you know, I think one of Francine's biggest fears is, "What happens if I'm not there to, you know, to be there to take care of, um, Bigfoot?" So, um, throwing out wishes, wishing on stars, thinking about, you know, what things lie in store for him, but also knowing just how incredible he is and knowing that no matter what, he will be fine.

But also, hey, maybe, maybe there's more for him, so.

Mm.

Then I was like, "Well, Bigfoot's gonna be Black because there's no way that Bigfoot can be anything other than Black because of how severely Bigfoot is othered." [laughs] And then just, like, everything came crashing down the past 10 years, and then I was like, it, it just, I went around and round in circles about it, and then I thought, "Let's just have the people we love the most be everything." [laughs]

So every show at Boom Chicago has multiple improvised songs in it, and I would always be put in the improvised songs, and I worked there for five years alongside Schmol.

So together we've improvised 100 million songs, and Schmol is, you know, of course, a talented musician and composer.

He can play any instrument, but he's the world's best musical improv accompanist, accompanimist, accompanimisma-
