I understand you're a little bit afraid right now.

Um, this is scary.

This is vulnerable.

I understand we've never done this before.

And so I was just hoping you'd give some words of encouragement to folks who are maybe starting this journey, they've just gotten the book, and they're afraid of the answers they might find.

Can you talk about what helped you to realize that and then what the process of voicing that gave you, I guess?

Yeah.

Well, freedom requires restraint.

And so I feel like people always want to feel free.

But in order to become free, we have to realize what we're breaking free from.

And so, you know, I think for me, here I was on the other side of a nine-year sexless relationship.

I show up in LA.

But are there any other ways that you've learned to support friends who are still in that pattern and not abandon yourself in the process of doing that?

Mm-hmm

I don't know.

People are like, "I always thought Scorpio was, like, secretive or mysterious," or, like, I don't know.

So I've, I've heard that, um, a lot my life.

But I don't, it doesn't necessarily feel true that, like, if you get to know the real me will you still love me? I guess at least not in this version of me.

But I, I have found that, like, it takes a little bit to get to that core depth and, like-

And is that like a, let's hash these details out? Where is John with you at this point? Is he like, we're going to do this

thing? I mean, we went back and forth so many times and this was like the span of three weeks.

It felt like three years.

We were like, no, because we were both, everyone was excited about this project.

And so it was like, okay, we got to let this part of us die.

We're just going to be friends.

We made friendship agreements.
