And so rather than saying there is nothing, sorry, this particular specialist, this particular service, this particular speciality has a very limited capacity to offer you support is a very different... conversation to saying there is nothing and to say there is nothing if someone gets written off by one clinician there is a huge amount of power in that and there's a huge amount of potential negative consequences to that one of the things that i think is really key when it comes to supporting people who are living with long-term conditions is to leave some space not for being unrealistic, not for getting your hopes up in a way which is going to be unhelpful, but leaving a bit of space for them to go and work it out themselves or for somebody who isn't you to support them.
