26:46
Yep.
26:46
She, the Crumbl CEO j- they just made a 25,000 square foot home in Utah.
26:55
Um, it's gonna be a neighborhood also, with like future homes for his children or something.
27:02
It's wacky.
27:04
But the whole thing about it was like everything is like reclaimed from Italy and Europe.
27:10
And as I was watching this, I started being like, "Oh my God, this is becoming so, quote-unquote, European, it like is a cartoon."

7 MINS LATER

34:37
... maybe own the fact that they've been making chalky cookies.
34:40
Yeah.
24:46
But they are, they're reaching for, they're reaching for Tuscan decor.
24:52
That actually though, as you said, that doesn't surprise me because have you followed Shea McGee making that insane house for the crumble cookie owner? No.
25:03
Oh my God.
25:04
Okay.
25:04
Shea McGee, right? Of McGee.
25:06
You know who Shea McGee is, right? She, the crumble CEO, they just made a 25,000 square foot home in Utah, um, It's going to be a neighborhood also with like future homes for his children or something.
25:24
It's wacky.

21 MINS LATER

46:19
hard so true is there anything else on your list
29:04
What are some of the similarities? What are some of the differences?
29:08
Totally.
29:09
Um, and I agree.
29:10
I, I mean, that is sort of where my interest came from, is I was working in substance use facilities, and people would act like it was not possible to have both going on at the same time.
29:22
Or they would refer people out if they seemed like they had, you know, too many, like, eating disorder symptoms.
29:29
Um, yeah, I mean, I think for me, where this all, like, how I fell into this niche is that was my story, obviously, and I really see them as sort of different external solutions to the same internal problem.
29:49
And for me, a lot of that problem, and I think for a lot of us, is that discomfort in the body, not just, you know, maybe physically in terms of, like, hu- like, hunger or fullness cues or, or things like that, or discomfort of, like, physically, I don't like how this looks on me, or I don't like, um, you know, the feeling of my body in this clothing, or something like that.

5 MINS LATER

35:17
Um, but because it does have a little bit of a negative connotation or there can be some judgment, I would love to just spend some time exploring what are in those programs, what is really helpful there, what can you gain, what can you gather, maybe what can you not gather there as well.
3:47
But But just so everybody can get a bearing for who you are and what you do, what is this background with trauma and how does it kind of like field into or like what have you noticed like being a travel advisor or some of the things that it kind of like sneaks up with like stress and boundaries within businesses?
4:08
Yeah.
4:09
So first of all, thank you for having me.
4:10
I'm so excited.
4:11
A huge fan of the podcast.
4:14
And So my background, originally I wanted to be a high school English teacher.
4:20
That's what I was going to do.

33 MINS LATER

37:40
But I want to let people know if they are needing some sort of resource like the Catalyst Reset, like what is it all about and where can they go? And I know that we do have a special promo code, which I don't know off the top of my head, but I will make sure to include it in the link so people have it.
31:40
Uh, but it will still feel as navigatable and as, as comfortable.
31:45
I think, too, we take some inspiration from something like South by Southwest, you know? It, it started smaller than it is today.
31:52
I think it, it, it maintains a core vibe, for lack of a better word, or the culture of that experience has not changed too much.
32:04
I agree with you.
32:04
Some of it has to sort of fall away because you just have more people and more things to do.
32:10
But I think our aim is really to hold onto that because that's what people love about Play Days.
32:16
It's exactly what you said, and I think if we lose that, we do defeat ourselves in one of our aims, right, which, um, we absolutely wanna hold onto.
32:39
Uh, so I was gonna ask, you know, you're telling me there's loads of secret tunnels and, and, and hidden areas that we can go to, but is there a need at some point to, to think differently about where you're based?
24:53
When Amanda had the twins, she was under the supervision of Child Protection Services due to concerns they had about her ability to parent.
25:02
So I basically had to really choose what I wanted and, you know, break the cycle.
25:12
I didn't want to be having my kids in care.
25:17
And like Margaret said, I'm the first one in the family to break the cycle.
25:36
What do you think you're really good at as being a parent and a mum?
25:42
Routines.
25:45
Um, like bathing time, milestones, um, listening to what the kids actually wanted at the time they wanted, um, and always concentrating on the girls-
13:00
... that we are just exploding in the wrong way?
13:04
I think everything is getting, uh, I think if we look at polarization in every arena, I think that's where we are.
13:13
And I think what's really-- I've talked about just, and it's been something I've been seeing a lot with my clients as well, of just everything is so misconstrued, no one knows what to do anymore.
13:25
I think if you take the word boundaries that was so important, is so important, a few years ago people didn't even really-- It wasn't, like, a common concept, and we've twisted it into boundaries means I never have to do anything that I don't want to do.
13:44
And society starts to break down when that happens.
13:49
I've done posts about what do we owe each other and stuff too because if every single person in the world is just like, "I'm out to get mine.
13:57
I'm not inconveniencing myself.

29 MINS LATER

42:36
You know what makes you happy, and the best way to make sure that's what's in your life is to continue to, like, have that autonomy over your life.
