So what is the road ahead look like?
13:01
Well, first of all, just love, hope, joy is what you heard last night.
13:05
It's what the Democratic Party is feeling.
13:07
It's what our candidates or organizers, everyone out there is feeling.
13:11
And that's great, but democracy has to deliver.
13:14
And that is really the message that everyone got loud and clear.
13:17
No matter you are in a red state or a blue state, people are worried about their health care benefits.
14:06
So does being in control of both the House and the Senate help with that?
23:39
There has to be some kind of realization that the country can't keep having a system where some people are becoming trillionaires while others can't make rent.
23:48
And the arrogance of data centers was really the culmination of that, right? There was not even trying to talk to the American people about why a data center was there.
23:58
All of a sudden, it just shows up.
23:59
And the shock, oh, they don't like this? Right, and it makes noise, and your utility just bill went up, and you have to deal with that.
24:06
I mean, the arrogance of that moment.
24:08
Now, that's in juxtaposition that on January 2027, All of a sudden, Trump's big, beautiful bill is going to be implemented where Medicaid policy, health care, people are going to start to lose it.
24:21
SNAP benefits are going to get harder, which is food assistance is going to get harder.

13 MINS LATER

37:20
How do these two factions work together in the Senate to get things done and also find a way to take the direction of the party into 2028 and find some kind of leader who is going to keep both sides of the party in the tent?
8:30
They've also said they may try to reform the Supreme Court.
8:36
Listen, I think there are two words that they need to be focused on and two words that you've heard throughout the entire election cycle, no matter what state you are in, no matter what district you are in, which is affordability and accountability.
8:49
And so there's no doubt that it is time for Democrats to actually deliver on affordability.
8:56
What can we do to make sure that health care, that people have health care, that people have food assistance, that they have better wages? And there also needs to be something done on accountability, the corruption and all of the different things that we have seen this administration do in such a lawless way.
9:11
The American people have said together, we want you to actually address these things.
9:16
We want you to really listen to us and what we need at the kitchen table.
9:20
And we also want to make sure that we get back to a democracy of decency and again, following the rule of law.
10:51
And Amanda, your thoughts on them working together?
15:43
And now we're getting to a point where
15:45
it's now time to judge, right? There are some things that are great ways to sandbox and great places to iterate.
15:53
And there are some that are super harmful and it's scary to do that, right? And it's gonna harm people.
15:58
And so that's actually the number one takeaway here, which is, well, like any powerful tool, how do you make sure that is used and pointed in the right direction? I'll also say this, and I've started to talk about it a lot more like this, where I think people think of sometimes AI like the mobile phone coming in.
16:18
And there were some countries that could just skip over the landline and use a mobile phone.
16:23
That isn't how AI is.
16:25
It actually needs to have a government that has an infrastructure still.
18:22
And where have you maybe seen without calling out any governments, where have you maybe seen it where you're like, your judgment isn't as friendly and as nice on the uses? Yeah.
6:18
So as you pointed out earlier, Amanda, that during crises or economic uncertainty, which was kind of experiencing now, I was wondering what strategies have you guys seen that help government maintain transparency and ensure that the residents you're seeking to help feel heard, but also can help with the delivery of services they're required?
6:42
Yeah, you know, one of the real experiences we had during COVID is how much actually everyone came together wanting to help in those very early stages.
6:53
And what we learned is when you do bring people into a room and you facilitate it in a way that everyone is solving a common problem together, you really, that's when it's like the magic happens.
7:05
And I think today more and more what we're seeing is the sharing of best practices.
7:10
And not just from city to city, but state government to city, federal government to city.
7:14
And so that's where I think the real opportunity is right now and as we move forward.
7:19
When we build these hubs, Code for America had their summit just a couple weeks ago.

9 MINS LATER

16:12
And really my question is around how important is collaboration to the success of any of these efforts?
7:32
Look, you come at this from a Democrat point of view, but what did you make of the speech from an objective point of view?
7:39
Listen, I think there were some really sweet moments, right? Calling out when we saw him talk about coming back from being held in Russia, and he was the person that brought back an American home.
7:52
Seeing a 13-year-old boy get an honorary Secret Service post.
7:58
Those were key moments.
7:59
But the truth is, when you look at his speech, you have to remember he walked into a body, particularly on the Republican side, that has been pummeled with town halls and real people worried about what is happening out there.
8:12
And so his normal order of business is to try and convince everyone.
8:16
things are great and his leadership is wonderful.

7 MINS LATER

15:08
Have they got a strategy which is going to be better than it was for the presidential elections?
