So I wrote a whole essay on roasting a chicken and on grief and kind of being like stripped to the bone.

And there is a moment in this essay where I talk about this ritual or routine I have with roasting a chicken, which is always when I take the chicken out of the oven and before I cut it up and serve it, I have to always rip off the wing and eat it standing on one leg in the kitchen.

And one of the muses was like, this sentence, like I think about you every single time I eat chicken now, like this part of the story was so brilliant, was so phenomenal, it like changed my life.

And I was like, That is very unexpected, but very awesome.

You know, so I think I remember before I started writing on Substack, I had this kind of like this like intellectual, like highbrow snobbery of like what a good story would be and what a good Whatever would be it, and it would have, like, needed, like, a certain, like, intellectual thing, da-da-da-da-da, rather than just, like, being honest and real and alive, and then we never know what can form.

Lately, I've been, I have been contemplating that I would love, eventually, to write fiction, but right now, I feel like I'm still gathering so much information through my... through my life and sharing that, which is, is just because now I'm going to come to, to the, my favorite writers is also what I love to read.
