Tell me a little bit about the outline of the course.
22:00
Yeah.
22:01
I think what makes my course unique is that everyone actually writes a grant proposal over eight weeks or longer if they need longer and receives my individualized feedback every time they turn in a draft, which is once a week.
22:16
So I walk people through, of course, how do you find grants to begin with from foundations, corporations, tribes, government, associations, and so on.
22:25
So that's kind of a concurrent theme is where do you find and strategically apply to those types of funders.
22:32
And at the same time, you're learning the actual mechanics of writing.
22:35
So you'll write the background and the history of your organization, what partnerships you have, what your staffing looks like, how you use volunteers.
26:14
And what are the top three reasons that usually say why they don't get the money?

And just kind of thinking through that, you know, of course, what do you think surprises writers the most about how reviewers are actually working through and reviewing their proposals?
4:02
Yeah, you know, I think a lot of people don't really know what happens after your proposal gets submitted.
4:09
And that's why I love doing review work and being able to look at proposals, you know, from that side of the table with a rubric.
4:17
And so I think what surprises writers the most is that, you know, the first time I read a proposal, I just read it all the way through.
4:26
rather than preforming any questions or whatever.
4:29
I try to just hold back any questions that are coming up in my mind and just read it through.
4:35
But the second time I read it, it's a little different.

And so for freelance and consultants, grant professionals, what does centering purpose, not hustle, look like in everyday practice?
