What does it look like if you're on the ground in a country and they of, have committed to adopting the sustainable development goals and you as the resident coordinator are there to help them?

Well, first of all, the first thing I always say is, "This is not the UN agenda," because it often gets mentioned as, "Oh, well, this is the UN agenda." I always say, "No, this is the member state's agenda," and as you rightly said, as UN, we're here to help you make it happen.

So what you're really trying to do is, like, create a countrywide coalition where everybody can, you know, stand behind the SDGs.

And of course, right now we're facing, you know, the, the facts that we're so far away from achieving them in 2030, and so there's a lot of questioning, "Well, you know, does it still make sense?" What, and what I personally say is, "Absolutely still makes sense," because these were 17 promises that the world made to their people, and the promises are still valid.
