Tell us about friendship and why it's so important and why is it our superpower?

Well, it's definitely a superpower.

We were really impressed by that welcome and introduction to this short section.

Yeah, for us, the reason it's a superpower is international research is showing us clearly that the most important part of someone's life to give them a good, long life.

well-rounded life that they're loving is to be in good relationships and friendships for most people are a massive part of that um i noticed today i was doing a bit of reading and i noticed that one of the key writers who writes about things that are happening in at the moment in the world adam grant you might have heard of adam grant is a really is a professor in america at wharton and he writes amazing books.

He and Simon Sinek have both, who are both like out there if you're into looking at what's changing in the world, not just about friendship.

Tell us about some of those stories and the impact that you've seen GFS have.

Yeah

... uh, one of the decisions we made was that we would sit wholly on our history.

It was founded by Christian women.

Uh, the Archbishop of Canterbury's wife was involved at one point.

As you know, Queen Victoria had a, a strong faith.

Um, and the women involved were primarily women of faith.

Um, and so we wanted to hold onto that and say that we were, we were born in c- you know, in a Christian foundation organization, and then we checked through the history, and we wanted to try and keep honest and close to what-

If you go to the website, you'll find a drop down section which says Friendship Awards.

And on there, you'll be asked a few questions.

So you just... prompts you to tell us about your friend and it asks you if you're willing to put a photograph up and then that will come in to us you should get a response saying thank you for nominating and then later in the year at the end of august we'll go through a judging process like last year and we'll choose a friend of the year and all the others will also get a little something everyone who's nominated will also get a little something from gfs

Quickly tell us about the Swan Valley location and what people can find there and how they can get connected.

So we're just in the final development phase of a place called Friendship Central, which will open on West Swan Road, the Reed Highway end of West Swan Road.
