And they also, in some ways, do not meet the practical needs of the client as much as they are like the psychoeducation so they provide the psychoeducation but they don't always provide the therapy or the case management that we know needs to be created in order to do behavior change like you know if you think about any males in your life you can't just tell them what to do you know and be logical about it you just can't be like so this is the reasons why on my list and Yeah.

So this is what I speak to my clients about in group as well because Saturday that just passed, the topic was standing up to family and domestic violence in the community, right? And so I was saying to the guys, what would you say if like a mate of yours acted in a particular way or spoke badly about his partner or, you know, did X, Y, Z.

They were like, I'd cut him off.

I'd tell him to pull their head in or tell them, you know, cut it out or cut the friendship off.

If there's some mums listening that do carry the mental load at home, how can the father's ability or inability to regulate himself impact that whole family dynamic? And maybe what are some early signs that the dad might be struggling with that emotional regulation?
