There aren't necessarily the same kinds of outcomes that we see in suburban municipalities, given cultural and linguistic differences.

I would just add to that, that these are incredibly in the Canadian context.

So you're right about vast distances.

So Vancouver to Toronto, that's 5,000 kilometers across the country, right? And then these city regions, these three large city regions are incredibly ethno-culturally diverse.

But that ethno-cultural diversity also has a regional character.

It's different in British Columbia relative to the province of Ontario, relative to the province of Quebec.

And so what diversity looks like in each place is very different.

And this is why Alison and Chan together made the exhibition, which featured the photographs as well as many of the quotations that went along with them.
