What was that feeling like? You know, because still comparatively young, I'm guessing for the adult team, what was that feeling when you first made it into the Canadian set-up?
14:24
yeah so a little bit of a back story to that the Canadian national team used to have well still do have a very strong relationship with the Cuban national team and our previous manager would hold an identification camp during the winter where he would take a group of young prospects to Cuba we would play against the Cuban national team and that was a way for him to identify potential players So I had gone to that camp for three, three years, I think.
14:57
So when I was 13, 14, 15, my dad sent me to that camp every year.
15:03
And I kind of, you know, started building relationships with the staff, with the Canadian national team and some of their veteran players that would attend as coaches as well.
15:13
And that summer that I was selected to go play in, in washington dc in an extended roster series against team usa so i kind of count it kind of don't i was wearing the canadian jersey but it was expected exactly yeah um i mean they used to have it where after our national championship which is kind of serves as like the selection for team canada um they would release their roster at midnight so everybody's kind of like around their phone waiting at midnight after the final game um and i remember my my mom and sister were at home, you know, refreshing the page, refreshing the page.
15:52
And they called me right away and my mom was crying.
15:55
She was like, no way.
