'Cause you've got this kind of cake that's made with dates, and it's got a very toffee quality to it.

And in my version, I brown the butter as well 'cause I always think that can add some nice toasty notes and dimension.

But in every other respect, that cake in mine is very similar to any other sticky toffee pudding cake.

The real difference is in the sauce that gets poured over, the toffee sauce that gets poured over the top.

And typically, that sauce is made with, you know, butter and brown sugar.

And a bit of cream.
