So some institutions have really robust protocol and policy, others don't have anything, and then some are sort of in the middle.
22:35
And just to highlight again some work from someone who presented the pre-course, Daniel Lugo gave us a great talk on some of the policy pieces and the legal side of this.
22:43
And the two things that I took away from it were that besides the policy piece, we also have to talk about the HIPAA compliant piece, which you referenced earlier, and thinking about if your institution has a business associate agreement with the relevant AI vendor, so open evidence being an example of one that a lot of folks are using.
23:01
and that's what makes it legal for you to use hipaa compliant information within that vendor's tool and it actually gets even more complicated a concept i hadn't even considered is if you have visiting medical students it's possible that they have hipaa approved tools through their medical school but if your health institution does not have an agreement with that hipaa tool then that student cannot use that tool when they're at your visiting rotation because it's not It's a patient of your healthcare institution.
23:30
It's not a patient of their medical school's healthcare institution.
23:33
So the legality piece gets really interesting.
23:35
I didn't know anything about that.

How would you approach having these conversations with learners? And, you know, as you talk about things like the energy, climate, ethical implications of AI in education?
