Yeah, so based on the story, why do you think crisis brings out the best in humans?
54:17
Oh, that's a great question.
54:19
I mean, I don't think it always does.
54:21
I think it can bring out the worst.
54:24
I've thought a little bit about this and I don't have anything wise to say, but I've thought about the different kinds of bravery that the different neighbors exhibited because just to go into the story a little bit more.

Like, what was it?
30:15
What are they going to think is in there? Yeah,
8:57

Um, and so the family left their apartment from the courtyard, and they just crossed the courtyard and went into this warehouse, where they would stay for over two years.
9:06
But that solved the problem of their housing, but he also gave Joseph, because Joseph was a varnisher, work.
9:11
He delivered furniture to the warehouse so that Joseph could make money for food.
9:16
Um, and two different neighbor families had stores.
9:19
There was a deli and a grocery store that were right outside the courtyard on the street.
9:23
In fact, the deli was actually accessible from within the courtyard, and they put food aside, uh, and it was young Ben's job at nine years old to leave the warehouse hideout to go get food from the neighbors.
13:39
Mm-hmm.
