How did it go from one to the other?

As we start growing, and obviously when you have videos that have tens of millions of views, which we did back then, you start getting people's attention, right? So through the videos that we got attention to, at one point we even got invited by Sequoia.

Sequoia is one of the leading venture capitalist firms on Sand Hill Road.

We're in San Francisco and I get this email and I'm like, they're like, hey, come to our offices.

We would love to talk to you.

And we did.

And I show up at Sequoia meeting one of the partners and be like, yeah, we're just like this lifestyle business.

How did you guys start the 5-Minute Journal?

was like, hey, let me maximize the exit.

There's people approaching me who want to invest.

I don't want to take in money.

That's, again, the route that I understood is...

The moment you take in money, you have a boss.

And you have a certain outcome that you need to deliver to them.

Did you experience on your own personal level, like all these things of burnout, anxiety, that's why you've built these systems for yourself?
