Just hear the zipper.

I know.

[laughs] Let me see if I can find it, zip.

[laughs] Um, yeah, here we go.

Uh, this is...

So we were supposed to...

So my dick breaking happened on a Thursday, and Andrew and I- [laughs] Do you have the date? And Andrew and I...

Right.

Yeah.

Number one regret for me, and this is my minifig of the week, but this is the minifig of my lifetime.

It's probably my favorite minifigure of all time.

And that's why I'm highlighting the time I go on your show.

is that 2014 plain Ace 2 Clone Trooper that only came in the Turbo Tank Micro Fighter and the Advent Calendar from that year.

That is the best Star Wars minifigure, any minifigure in my opinion, of all time.

That minifigure is so incredible.

So would you rather the show been about... you know Alan Scott the original Green Lantern taking that Hal Jordan place and then instead Jon Stewart being Hal Jordan in that instant I mean of course we wouldn't get Kyle Chandler as that amazing older Hal Jordan so what's your take on this

Mm-hmm

... subconsciously a- without having even met, um, especially with his 12 years of experience.

Well, the hand-holding that this guy had to do with me for the first year and a half of just, "Wait, can I do this? Wait, can I do th-?" Whatever.

Uh, I, I d- I, I, I was less than an infant in knowledge, and he really had to hold my hand and go, "All right, we're gonna do this this way.

We're gonna do this this way, this way, this way." So much of our success is thanks to his unbelievable knowledge and experience of YouTube and TikTok and Instagram.

The one thing I could do was look at and respond to comments and kind of engage with our audience and help make it more of a community than it already was.

And so I see that still as a big part of my job, because it's still really, really important.

Yeah.

[laughs]

I love all the art we have.

I love the statues, everything like that.

Like, y- y- you look at our set, it's surrounded by art, and how artists in comics and animation and everything are able to portray Scarecrow so consistently in such different, dramatic ways, whether he's got the hat, whether he looks like a more traditional scarecrow, whether he's got a mask, where he's just Batman Begins, he's got the mask and the suit.

Whatever you wanna do, I always see Scarecrow on a painting or on a page-

Please tell everyone where they can find you.

Or The Escape Pod podcast.

Uh, you can find us on YouTube, uh, anywhere you listen to podcasts, whether that's Spotify or Apple Podcasts or any of those websites.

She got to see the Escape Pod rise.

You know what's so cool? This is such a great story.

This is such a great story.

I didn't go to college, and my grandmother, being how old she was, from that generation of you have to go to college, very much so.

My, my parents were really, really progressive in like, like my mom, I remember a lot of her friends were like, "What do you mean Alex isn't going to college? What the fuck is wrong with you?" They, they would yell at my mom, all that stuff.

But my mom held her ground.

She was like, "He's not gonna get anything sitting in a biology class.

Mm-hmm.
