So you mentioned that there's a sort of psychological aspect, a political aspect, and also that these aspects are varied across different spaces or national contexts.

Yeah.

So I think at the beginning of the chapter, I sort of outline really in a very summarized way, some of the threads that contribute to the different meanings that we associate with the closet.

And one of them is definitely the kind of that results from certain insights in developmental psychology.

I mean, there is generally a problem already or something to be interrogated and in understandings of sexuality is something that develops and people go through different stages and each stage denotes a better self-acceptance or a higher level of self-acceptance of self.

And then usually in these models coming out, not in all of these models, but in many of these models coming out is seen as a step that is absolutely essential and important and key in self-acceptance and being recognised in resolving shame.

And I think This is, of course, an important tool and this has given important ways of understanding self as well for many people.

And I wondered if you could maybe bring out or emphasise that kind of element of spatial difference.
