The Baal HaTurim on last week's parasha, the end of last week's parasha, brings the connection between last week's parasha and this week's parasha.

So this week's parasha starts off with You're going to go out to war on your enemies.

And last week's parasha also sort of ended with going out to war, right? In the end of perek kaf, it talks about Go and fight in a city to go out to a city to go and destroy it and to take it over.

And then in between those two parashas, you have the parasha of war, going out to fight.
0:33
You have another parasha of war, this week's parasha.
0:36
In the end of last week's parasha, smack in the middle of these two pieces, you have Where you find a corpse in between two cities and there is a mitzvah called egla arufa, where the city that is closest to this corpse has to bring an egla arufa to that place.

We're going to build, you know, pens for our flocks, and we're going to also build cities for our flocks.

children, and Moshe Rabbeinu is not too happy about that, and he tells them afterwards, he says, he was upset about the order in which they put it.
0:43
Originally, they wanted to build pens for their animals, and then afterwards, they were going to build cities for the children.

And he says, it's not the way we work.
