What, what was the story behind, the story at Foxhills and how that's kind of moved into the rest of your life?
8:59
Yeah, I think that probably was one of the most formative moments in my career, that, uh, if you can imagine a golf facility as the size of Foxhills, which is not the common, uh, for our small, generally 18-hole golf courses, clubhouse, and a few hundred members.
9:14
Well, down there they had four thousand members of what sometimes is called a country club or now a resort.
9:20
Um, but the most amazing thing about that is that they had within their memberships was very much family-based.
9:26
So we had a lot of, uh, youngsters at the club, and that really, that was the, the opportunity that, uh, I had when one of the dads came into me and he said, "You know, I'd like you to teach my son to play golf." And I said, "Look, that's fine.
9:38
No problem at all." He said, "My son's five." And I then in my ignorance said, "Well, I'll perhaps get one of my assistants to teach him." But he said, "No, I'd like you to teach him." So anyway, um, off I went down to the driving range, and that started off, uh, a whole set of circumstances which has changed, uh, many, many things in golf.
9:56
But, uh, I would say that, yeah, I honestly learned more from teaching those youngsters than they probably ever did from me.
