What he did was to start building his own, a new qualification, a single seater that colleges buy and prepare themselves, and a race series where they compete against each other.

Alan O'NeillGUEST
So SCU Motorsport, we are developing a motorsport education program, and that's to teach the right skills, not only for motorsport, but as transferable skills.

Alan O'NeillGUEST
We've kinda seen a move for motorsport to promote itself around zero emissions, carbon neutral, and we want to, you know, get the technicians who are gonna be part of motorsport understanding green technology.

Alan O'NeillGUEST
And, and at the moment, the, you know, and it's well-publicized, Ford in America are predicting that by 2029, there will be a shortage of 43,000 skilled technicians for working on electric vehicles.

And, you know, just to sort of clarify, we, at the moment, we are a limited company, but we are setting up a community interest company, which will be a not-for-profit So it's quite funny you say that.

And I'd like to encourage any of our listeners who either maybe have an interest in trying to support this financially, or if they would like to see you brought into their area, maybe they've got a connection with the university or something that could could help i really want to encourage listeners to get involved i mean that's that's one of the the purposes of the hydrogen nowcast to try to stimulate other people throughout the world in whatever way or whatever capacity or whatever skill you have to jump in and and try to help to just push this forward so i encourage them to reach out to you and we'll we'll give the connection emails and things uh here in just a bit but Maybe next, why don't we talk about what's happening currently with SCU Motorsport in the near future? Do you have some races or classes or other things that are coming up immediately that would interest people?
