I suppose since I've been elected over the last two years or so, I've been very much aware of the challenges with regard to our ambulance service locally, and I'm regularly in touch, I suppose, with members of our ambulance service who work here in the region.
Alan HarneyGUEST
But this issue, I suppose, particularly highlights the challenges which exist for us in the ambulance services locally.
Alan HarneyGUEST
And unfortunately, as I say, using this case to demonstrate an example of what the deficits in the service we currently have can present in terms of challenges for this region.
Alan HarneyGUEST
So on the night in question, I understand that the ambulance crew based in Port Youngclay University Hospital had undertaken a transfer of a patient to Galway University Hospital That left Ballinasloe and the East Galway region without an ambulance for several hours on the night in question.
Alan HarneyGUEST
And in fact, the call that was eventually attended to on that night was attended to by the crew from Loughlin and North Roscommon.

if you're if you're not going to change the dynamic deployment model would it not make more sense just increase the amount of ambulance you have on hand
