So after observing thousands of lawyers argue before you, what do you feel separates the exceptional patent trial lawyer from the competent one?

The reason – I never could seem to get this across.

We talked earlier about the lawyers who thought I had some plaintiff's bias.

I didn't have a plaintiff's bias.

yeah definitely and i i really liked the bit that you shared about you know the relationships that you were able to craft as a judge and how you were sort of known in the industry as being someone who is kind and approachable and that kind of relates to my last question for you which is when people look back over your entire career what do you hope that they remember you by that doesn't have anything to do with the number of patent cases you handled or the characteristics of how you approached any of these cases?
