And the market's really, the administration doing a remarkable job just pushing as much as you can to calm down these markets.

And the straight assumption is the grand thing is that we don't think it improves from here very much until the end of next year.
A
4:51Al SalazarGUEST
I think part of us are thinking it never gets back to normal in terms of that type of thinking.
A
4:57Al SalazarGUEST
And really, it's just about trying to get away from the straight over moves now is the theme.

Al, what are you seeing in the markets here? Is there some kind of hope about oil prices?
A
11:04Al SalazarGUEST
I mean, we're at $80, uh, Brent, uh, and that is what we think is a, a full $20 below fair value, which is what the stock levels are indicating.
A
11:15Al SalazarGUEST
Um, so we're definitely getting, uh, I guess a, uh, a momentum trade that, that there's expectations that this deal will lead to, uh, uh, an open strait.
A
11:26Al SalazarGUEST
Uh, but yet looking at the ship tracking data, uh, nothing has really moved, uh, to suggest that things are, are, are getting back to anywhere close to normal.
A
11:37Al SalazarGUEST
So I, I guess there is some optimism, but yeah, it's, it's not, not leading to physical flows yet.
A
12:43Al SalazarGUEST
Um, well I think the, the folks that, uh, the producers here, we're largely price takers.

So what does that mean? Like, what will you be looking for in the months ahead to see if this is a concrete plan or not?
A
19:47Al SalazarGUEST
Just does it change sentiment? I think governments, um, you know, are obviously, um, have a lot to s- a lot, a lot of influence when it comes to stopping investment and creating uncertainty or maybe some type of regulatory, um, unease.
A
20:03Al SalazarGUEST
That's probably why, you know, over the past decade and a half, you know, investment in the energy sector has been pretty, pretty muted.
A
20:10Al SalazarGUEST
But, um, if that can turn around and, and maybe create some optimism, then great.
A
20:14Al SalazarGUEST
Um, but ultimately it just comes down to being able to convince, uh, private industry to invest dollars, and, and that to me is, is the massive, uh, hurdle.

Simi SaraHOST
So what would be your analysis of this, Al, if somebody were saying to you, "Listen, do I, should I be investing in Canada right now?"
