And, and too, you know, being, living paycheck to paycheck, as most of planet Earth lives, was just something that sounded not really of that appealing anymore, and didn't want to do it to begin with.

And didn't need to do it to begin with, but because of the decisions that we had made years ago, it was, it, it, it, the, the debt was creating this, this space for us where we were being forced to kind of live in that direction.

And, you know, I believe we started last, maybe it was June or July, but just already getting rid of chunks of debt and, and closing out loan accounts, which we've closed out I think three thus far, with a couple on the horizon, which is super exciting.

And also being like two and a half months ahead presently is really awesome.

So like, you're just not having to worry about, you know...

So could you speak to that a little bit? What would you, you know, what you did, what you would recommend or your experience, or just do it and don't be scared? 'Cause no, people don't like to do it, right? But, but you have, you might, you might have to and it might g- you know, help you make good progress.

What is going on? So what I wanna know is when you guys came in this morning, you were like, "All right.

Um, a- and which it's not...

I don't think it's in any way better, but I do like, I think it fits the aesthetic perfectly.

But the aesthetic is where I start to like wane a little bit on my feelings towards it, and it's mainly because it took away something from me that I had from childhood, which was like imagination.

Um, and, and what I mean by that is the way that the game is presented, you know, it's, you know...

We have this like, uh, you know, uh...

Games haven't really been that expensive

the way I look at it, and I've looked at it the entire time, before they announced the, like, different prices between digital and physical, I'm like, "We're in N64 again." It's like, every once in a while, a, a retro, uh, magazine screen grab will get posted on the internet where it's like, look at this Toys "R" Us, uh, like, ad about how much Game Boy games were.

And there's some games on that page that's like, N64, $39.99, $49.99, $59.99, $69.99, and then $29.99. That's where we're at.

It's like there's some, s- uh, Switch 2 games that are $80.

Well, one.

No, I think it's a really, it's a really lovely idea that the whole series, you know, is based on this concept of using your words, and then it feels like in some way that when the script ended and those last words were said, that Kay had written, it was like you're in just, uh, open water now.

That's how it kind of felt, and it's like we don't need to say anything.

We just kinda need to let our bodies find each other in this kind of new...

You know, like the gloves are off, you know? Uh, they've found each other.

All the kind of complications of the relationship have disappeared.

Um, and it, it kind of emerges into this, into this new space where there is no dialogue almost, and you kind of feel it, like the rhythm changes and maybe...

... that one has stuck with me for, for a long time.

And, and it's, it's two, it's twofold here.

It's twofold because I'm turning AJ's into a Habs bar.

Uh, to get-- s-start the t-the discussion, just can you give us the quick high level of like, you know, what led you to want to make a native app CRM for macOS?

So it's a-- that's a really good question, and why is it still native? That's even a better question.

[clears throat] And so when we started, uh, MarketCircle, we were like a, a different company doing different things.

And, um, you know, we had to pivot and all this kind of stuff, and this was back, like in, you know, uh, nineteen ninety-nine, two thousand, two thousand and one.

And, um, I was trying to, uh, uh, do sales and build a business and so forth, and there was no native, you know, um, Mac OS X or what would be Mac-- become Mac OS X, um, CRM or productivity kind of business productivity kinda tool.

And so, uh, being-- me being naive said, "Well, how hard could that be?" Right? And so, uh, we started building Daylight as more of a showcase of technology, though, what we could do 'cause we were doing consulting at the time.

And eventually, it led to people wanting to buy the product, and we made it into a, you know, on, uh, uh, a product that you could download and run on your Mac.

I think it's harder, it's more expensive, it requires a different kind of developer, um, but I think it's a win for the users.

Holy shit!

And then, um...

So wow, I can't, I can't do-- I can't come back.

If I come to a meeting, I'm out, out, I'm of, I'm no, of no good at the job.

I mean, I can't even drive.... um, I would not trust myself on any decision-making, just based off how cognitively difficult it was.

Probably not a good look considering there are armed cops everywhere, and I really don't want to be drawing attention to myself.
