Thanks for tuning in.

I have had back problems pretty much my whole life, and I've been going to a new chiropractor lately, and it's really been helping.
0:23
And I've been trying to figure out why, because this would be probably the fourth or fifth chiropractor I've been to in my life, and none of the others have been very helpful.
0:33
And as I was reflecting on what it is that makes this guy different, what it is that makes this guy someone who actually can adjust my back, that no other chiropractor's been able to do, I've realized that the difference between him and the other chiropractors I've been to is that this chiropractor is a good chiropractor.
0:55
It's a key difference, a key distinction I've noticed between him and some of the other chiropractors that I've been to, because I don't know if you figured this out yet, but there's a big difference in life between a one and a good one, right? between a song and a good song.
1:14
When I go to the gym, there's a song on all the time, but it is never a good song, so I wear my headphones.
1:20
My wife, Kelly, is a bit of a coffee snob, and she will tell you there's a huge difference between a coffee and a good coffee, right? Like, just any sort of brown swill is technically coffee, but the coffee my wife likes has to have been like hand-picked by Peruvian maidens and carried single file.

And so how do you think about that trade-off of like clean ideas fast versus this creativity element that often gets associated with like, give it more time, maybe collect more data around this thing.
11:51
Oh, I love that you call that out because folks at the factory are like, that really is our bread and butter is where do you think the extra breathing time and space comes from? It comes from you killing an idea so you can take that energy and capacity of innovation towards something else and apply the learning you already have.
12:08
So you're not sitting there working through a, what is it, that fallacy of sunk cost.
12:14
Because I've already been working on it for two years, I need to see this through.
12:18
And sometimes HR initiatives are like that.
12:20
I mean, the platforms are designed, implementation teams are designed.
12:24
What if instead of an implementation team, you pushed your platforms or providers to have an iteration team? I'm not here just to implement this thing.
14:56
Or is there some framework that you've turned?
