You must be very proud and pleased to be part of all of that.

Aimee ReesGUEST
Yeah, the day that it was announced that we were going to get professional cricket in 2027, there was a lot of disappointment that day that we didn't actually get the tier one status immediately.

Aimee ReesGUEST
But once the news sort of settled that we were going to get sort of two years to build up to it, I think everyone realised that that was probably the best option.

Aimee ReesGUEST
And when you start talking about professionalism and making cricket as professional, that changes everyone's perspective on it and what is required from your pathways, from your staff, the opportunity to employ staff, the opportunity for young girls to see that there's a future in playing professional cricket if they're good enough and have those desires to want to pursue a career in that.

Aimee ReesGUEST
in that area you keep thinking our 2027 is a long way away it's come around so quickly because there's been so much to do so we've set up brand new emerging player programs we've set up brand new academies we've had a tier two women's team at Glamorgan we've employed lots of staff we've had lots of players come in on loan to us and trial with us look at all the stuff at the stadium as well the club getting used to having a women's team as well and look they've been so supportive and embraced the women's team being there it's been something that's you know quite special and to be in something from the start and get the opportunity to help lead and shape it is something that you don't get the opportunity to do very often so it's pretty special time really and now we're literally on the verge of you know first November we'll have our professional playing staff in place ready for 2027 so at the moment everything is sort of gearing up towards that.

All of that is clearly very important to you and presumably must impact on women at every level when they get involved in a game of cricket.
