10:03
Yeah.
10:05
One of the things I really appreciated, we were talking about 1 Peter a little bit, was the first chapter, he starts off with the great... monologue probably isn't the right word for it but just talking about like blessed be the Lord Jesus Christ and his abundant mercy has begotten us again rejoice in trials and then gird up the loins of your mind and be sober and rest in your hope and then he just gets into like it's just like Christian daily living how are you to conduct yourself before the world As sojourners and pilgrims abstain from fleshly lusts which war against the soul.
10:50
How are you to relate to the government? How are you to relate to your masters? Or what we were talking about with our sermon on Labor Day, talking about work.
11:00
How are wives supposed to interact with their husbands? How are husbands supposed to interact with their wives? There's so much good instruction there for how we're to conduct ourselves.
11:13
And then even just reading this, probably husbands and wives is probably the most countercultural thing from the book of Peter right now.
11:22
You tell a wife to submit to her husband who is not a believer.
11:28
I mean, it's just like total, she'll just lose her mind.

25 MINS LATER

36:11
I don't know, but that might be another reason.
8:03
That's profound.
8:08
It really opens the doorway for us to read the Psalms as the songs of Jesus.
8:14
I mean, even if you just reflect on all of Psalm 16, it's this prayer of the Son, truly God, but truly man.
8:24
That which he did not assume, he can't heal.
8:27
And he assumed all of our nature.
8:30
And praise this to the Father.
8:34
in such a way that now we sing this in his blessing that is united to him.
11:32
And then that's played out.
