What heat could be doing or possibly is doing to the muscle or the human, uh, when we apply it and then specifically after the, the resistance training.

Right.

So I'll preface this with how we kind of came to picking this topic for the meta-analysis that we ran this spring.
1:29
In 2024, I don't know if you're familiar with the cold water immersion meta-analysis that also came out of the Applied Muscle Development Lab.

Bunch of my colleagues worked on that and they found that there was a net negative effect of post-resistance training cold water immersion on hypertrophic adaptations.

So we thought that this would be a great contrast to that, to look at, you know, the effects of heat therapy on the same outcomes.

So one of the things that we can hypothesize for the outcomes that we observed is that potentially we know that heat specifically may increase blood flow to those, to the contractile tissue following resistance training, which would enhance nutrient delivery.

Why do you think the outcome was so different between hypertrophy and strength?
