well it actually so yeah as i kind of mentioned i think um the thing with ukraine you know, it's a pretty young, independent country, like, in its form today, right? Like, its culture and, like, its national identity has existed for much longer, you know, but it's never had this opportunity to kind of consolidate and to, like, cultural and national nation-building, like, always took place in the shadows because, like, you know, Russia was, like, it was a colonizer of Ukraine and Ukraine didn't have, like, its sovereignty until, like, The 90s.

So I think that for most people growing up in Ukraine post-independence, there was obviously like questions about like, what does it really mean to be Ukrainian? I don't think it was always like active, but I think people were really thinking about it, you know, and there was like a natural emergence and change.
12:28
It was a time where, you know, like, this identity, like, really came into question and people were trying to understand, like, what it should look like.
12:37
Amid the two revolutions that took place, that is, like, really, I think, what exacerbated it for a lot of people, including myself.
12:43
So I was 14 when the Revolution of Dignity happened.
12:48
And like after that, I definitely began thinking about my identity more actively.
