Ian WolstenholmeHOST
Do you think this proposal unintentionally favors massive corporate entities over the independent practices that help to keep the high streets alive?

Adrian WardGUEST
I think at the end of the day when you look at the, the online pharmacies, there are independent veterinary pharmacies very definitely.

Adrian WardGUEST
But there is a significant market share of the longer-established veterinary pharmacies that are owned by large veterinary groups and form part of their vertical integration chain.

Adrian WardGUEST
Um, now this was something that was vertical integration of the veterinary market, um, by the large veterinary groups was recognized by the CMA.

Adrian WardGUEST
It's isn't, however, something that's been, uh, the, the presence of pharmacies within the portfolio isn't something that's actually really been expressly reflected in the CMA investigation, and I don't know why.

Adrian WardGUEST
And we are being, uh, or rather our clients are being reminded that they can source from these organizations which can negotiate volume discounts with suppliers.
