How much improvement did he take out of the Turnbull?

Yeah, look, he's taken a significant amount of improvement off that, which he needed to.

Probably did bump into a good testing gallop on that day as well.

And just the heavy conditions coming off sort of a soft first up run over the mile.

Just found him out late, I would say, in that run itself.

He does enjoy that type of set up and run at that trip.

So, expecting that to be the case on on Saturday once again but he's better prepared for it now he's ready to hit his peak rating which he's sort of traditionally done third up in his preparations but before so ready to see a significant leap forward for him

What's your expectations today?

Is that how you see his most, you know, best attribute?

Yeah, he's such a determined and tough and honest horse.

He does love a fight in that regard, as we've seen on sort of many occasions.

When the pressure's on, he seems to be able to sort of rally and lift in his races, you know, particularly over those further trips where, as I said, it is a decent test.

We well and truly saw that in the Queen Elizabeth race Elizabeth for him and certainly to an extent in those races last year that he contested in Melbourne, there were some high pressure races and he came out on top.

Are they still two really viable options?

Yeah, potentially.

Obviously, he's got to do everything right between now and then.

What do you make of his chances today?

Yeah, I, I guess he's gonna be at long odds for us today.

Um, he's, you know, hopefully gonna run much better than what those odds suggest.

Um, you know, two starts back, he's at, uh, impressive win of the up and coming.

Um, you know, traditionally you'd push on to a race like the Ming Dynasty, um, off that and, and sort of come through to the Golden Rose, but just felt the, the run to the Rose is a better lead up for, for the Golden Rose itself.

But that just meant the conditions were difficult for him coming back in trip to, to a sharp run race.

So we didn't get to see him at his best.

What did you make of those pieces of work?

Yeah, I thought she's come back really, really well.

She's a filly that's just...

It's taken a while to mature physically and to sort of strengthen up.

So she's, yeah, we're just really starting to see that improvement from her at the back end, you know, the deeper we've gotten into her career.

And I thought it was a nice campaign last time through.

She's, yeah, obviously just come back much better this time.

What do you make of his chances today?

And Sidelius and Revengeance were great at the trials yesterday? Yeah, they were excellent.

I feel Sidelius has come back really well.

He seems a bit sharper in his trials at this early stage.

Particularly the way he's just...

Also just the way he's travelling there throughout those heats.

We have had probably a better build-up this time off off the back of last preparation as opposed to what we did um off the off the last spring campaign so um he should be ready to roll when he when he's um after his third trial and um looking forward to the campaign with him and uh revengeance just had a while off the scene so elected to to give him that third trial so he should resume in the san dominica

And you've got Savvy Diamond, another Savvabeal, who should train on after winning first up.

Yeah, the filly was excellent there on debut.

Look, wide draw, but the two trials, I think, are more than acceptable.

Yeah, I thought he'd come back really well.

I thought he showed really good sort of progression last campaign.

He's sort of still working it out, sort of a bit of a, Of course, it was high maintenance at first, but he's come back much better, much more settled and relaxed.

He's got a nice turn of foot when he does.

I thought we saw that in his trials this time through, but even the form around some of his wins last start when he did things right, I think sort of well and truly stood up.

So I'd like to think there's some good progression from him this time through.

No weight, an advantage in these staying races and he wasn't far off in the lead up at this distance.
