What are the key messages that you want every man who's listening in now to take away from this? from this campaign because as you say um you know men don't um often like to talk about their health they kind of um you know we've had this conversation before and this isn't me just kind of doing the oh men do this and women do that but we know statistically that that men are likely to seek help much much later on uh when it comes to their health than than women so what do you want the men listening in to take away from uh from this campaign and from our conversation
3:17
Yes, I think they're basically three things.
3:20
I think first, do not wait for symptoms.
3:24
Early prostate cancer usually has none and feeling healthy doesn't mean it's not there.
3:31
Second, know your risk.
3:34
One in four black men and one in eight white men will be diagnosed in their lifetime.
3:40
And black African men face a higher risk.
3:58
Is there still time for people to enter into the run on Friday and how else can people get involved, whether that is by participating, donating or supporting in other ways?
2:20
How has the conversation shifted in that time in terms of even a willingness by men to talk about these things, their cancer, and to take responsibility for
2:31
health? Bungani, yes, it's definitely shifted.
2:37
I think...
2:38
The brotherhood and the shared purpose keep men coming back.
2:42
So what started as a bold, slightly uncomfortable idea has become a conversation starter in families and workplaces.
2:53
So men are more willing to talk about it and families are more willing to push the conversation.
2:59
And that shift is why we are all here and see it as the 17th year to celebrate this run.
4:35
What are the logistics for this year's run?
