think a lot of people don't have that when they start a business.

And that causes a challenge for them.

So for me, I had that skill set.

I had nothing else.

And so what I did is I tried a few things.

I'll give you one example.

Why do you think people are still afraid of putting themselves out there? And how much do you relate your success to putting yourself out there and people associating you with your business?

But yeah, where did life start for you?

Yeah.

I, I think, um, pretty, pretty normal.

As you said, just as a, a young guy growing up in Essex, depending on how far back w- we go, I started kind of getting interested in, in business and, and success probably, a lot of people talk about being 10 years old.

I mean, I did a paper round or whatever it was and stuff, and they talk about very early.

But I actually think I got interested in business and success probably in my sort of teenage years after I'd kind of left school and, you know...

I did very badly at school.

... isn't it?

Could you take us back to the beginning?

Yeah, a- absolutely.

Uh, depends on where you wanna go back to in the beginning, but I think if it's the actual drive part of it, I think that a lot of my drive really has come from, in terms of building businesses and wanting to be successful, is that when I was younger, and this is right back to the beginning, um, we...

Uh, my family's quite affluent, went to a private school.

We're in a good, you know, nice place, had a very stable, great life, and, and my dad actually ran into some challenges with his businesses, and he ended up losing, um, his business and going through a really, really difficult time.

And during that period, we went from living in a beautiful, um, five-bedroom detached house, kind of having the dream life, to, to being in a place where my mum and dad split up, everything got taken away.

And, and before I knew it, me, my two brothers, my mum, um, were living in a, the back of a transport caf, um, which was the last asset that my c- my family had.
