When Cisma got into lasers, it wasn't because they wanted to, it was because they needed to.

The demand for their machines globally had reached such a point that micro TIG welding, which is principally how links were closed on, say, a cable chain, which is formed wire, wasn't making chain fast enough.

So that's where they partnered with the University of Padua to be able to manufacture lasers.

So the automatic laser was their main thing to make chain faster, and when they did that, they pioneered their flat top laser beam, and this is the beginning of what starts to set Cisma apart.
