How is this reconfiguration changing the way SMEs think when it comes to cross-border financial resilience and also operational agility?

Yeah, great question.

So what we're seeing in recent years is that businesses shift from an efficiency-first mindset to a resilience-first mindset.

A few years ago, priority was optimizing for cost and scale.

Now, today, it's really much more about optionality, about redundancy, about flexibility and capturing opportunities where they are.

So businesses, interestingly, look at financial infrastructure and as a way to not only set themselves operationally, but also to help shorten cash-to-cash cycles, to lower operational friction, to manage effects and compliance risks, and to stay agile to capture these opportunities.

And opportunities might be new markets that they want to tap into, new supplier markets that they need access to.

What are those new expectations, Adam?

We spoke to Adam Cohen at UC Berkeley's Transportation Sustainability Research Center about potential options.

One of them is vertical take-off and land.

There's also what's known as short take-off and land, aircraft that can take off and land using a very short runway.

Then there are several different innovations, everything from electric-powered flight, as well as hydrogen.

Cohen explains that these cleaner aviation technologies can replace more carbon-intensive automobile trips.

There are several different types of use cases.

This could include regional air mobility, connecting within a broader region, or small package delivery.

And then on emergency services, first response, fire, as well as aeromedical use cases.
