Yeah.
9:30
Yeah, yeah.
9:31
And this is sort of where, you know, I have a few like hot takes on this that, you know, because the idea of like, what are you supposed to teach in music class? Yeah, that you have sort of like a curriculum and, you know, but the state says that this is what you're supposed to teach.
9:44
This is what kids need to know.
9:45
I'll give a little like... little tangent thing, but I promise this is related.
9:49
When it comes to following rules, like I am, I am very much an advocate of like, learn the rules, master the rules, break the rules, just as like a general life philosophy.
10:00
And, you know, there are people who are rule followers and there are people who are rule questioners slash rule breakers, that's whatever.

22:28
I don't know.
7:43
it could get ugly.
7:43
And again, so hopefully that doesn't happen.
7:45
That's why you asked the split I wanted.
7:48
So if they can prove they can protect [laughs] Cousins and keep him alive, and he has enough opposite third, then you can throw Mendoza in the second half of the year, preferably after the bye where you really have three easier games on the schedule, plus three division opponents at home, and that's an ideal scenario to get him his feet wet and ready for next year when they should be, hopefully, if, depending on how this year goes [laughs] is if it, if we actually have a coaching staff that can coach unlike last year, um, to, for, to make a push for next year.
8:19
'Cause again, this year is all about showing progress and just building out a base.
8:24
It's showing if you, improving if the concept works.
8:27
There's no illusions of it as a playoff team or any- anything of that sort.

6 MINS LATER

14:21
Yeah
10:43
Bummer.
10:43
But, I know.
10:45
I know.
10:45
But the reality was, like, we heard TV's gonna rot your brain, and what we realized was that it wasn't great, but also, most of the things I watched had a beginning, middle, and end.
10:58
But I've not seen the end of Instagram yet, or the end of TikTok, or the end of Snapchat, right? Like, this idea of long-form versus short-form media is a really interesting conversation that everyone's having in the technical space right now because I think that short-form media just feeds the idea that m- consumption needs to happen, and that more, more, more, more is the answer.
11:25
So our kids are consuming so much more because everything is 17 seconds, 20 seconds, 10 seconds, and they're just flipping from one thing to the next, and all that's doing is not only shrinking their attention span, but it's actually flooding their brain with so much content, so many thoughts, so many different things to think about for their brain to travel and use that it's really overwhelming and kind of short-circuiting their systems to where now we want them to watch 30 minutes of Law & Order, and it's boring.
11:56
I, when are they gonna...

19 MINS LATER

30:43
So can you let people know how they might wanna get started with you all and to find out more information?
94:10
in terms of your business, I'm guessing it becomes harder and harder to succeed, right?
94:15
Look, I've been a publican now on my own, uh, 20-odd years.
94:20
It's the hardest it's ever been.
94:22
Let's not let off the Tories.
94:23
The Tories didn't help us one bit, so it's successive governments that have hurt the pub trade.
94:29
Um, we're paying 10 times the amount of beer tax that Germany does.
94:33
So the odds are always stacked against us.
97:25
Why do we seemingly have governments who have taken decisions to attack things that work without wondering or, or working out what the long-term implications of that will be?
