So authors should keep that in mind when preparing their manuscripts.

I think it's also important to highlight that policies on AI apply not only to authors, but also to us as an editorial board and to the associate editors that are working for the journal.

And in particular, we need to be very much aware of risks to confidentiality, proprietary rights of data, and privacy more generally.

So both editors and associate editors are not allowed to put manuscripts into journals generative AI large language model to help with the review process.
