... to be honest, it was really hard the first two years, 'cause I played for the Boston Breakers, and they folded.

Um, and it wasn't great at all.

It was really tough.

And I think that being my first experience, I was like, "Okay, got it.

Got it, got it, got it.

This is where we're at."

It's a long time.

So do you feel like being on all these different teams and franchises and really seeing it from both sides of being on the bench and then being a starter, do you think that that's helping you lead some of the rookies and help them find their way in the NWSL?

Yeah.

I definitely want our rookies to have a better experience [laughs] than what I did when I came in.

The league has grown so much.

Thankfully, it's grown so much.

And so with that, I feel like we're in a very fortunate situation where I can help lead and give the rookies some insight, but also, like, see them flourish and grow.

A big part of that is also, like, what they're willing to, like, absorb and take in because you come in as one person, and you change and develop and grow so much throughout the year.

Mm-hmm.

I, I asked Abby about what she's seen from her old team this season.

We watched the most recent game, and we've watched some of their games.

They are a completely different team than when we were there last year, and as any team is, they're making changes with the growth of our league, and they are a team that just works really hard, and they're gonna try and press from the get-go.

And so I think that's something that we know and we're prepared to face.

I wanna leave you with this quote from Abby Smith.

Well, at the same time, it's a learning experience.

It's once again, like, we are a team that is learning and growing, and we're really digging in.

And so those opportunities happen, and unfortunately, it happened against us.

Abby, tell me about the phone, the phone that Emma had.

Emma used a lot of the Wi-Fi data, so she should be able to connect to some sort of cell tower or some sort of area where we'd be able to determine whether or not that phone was moved, I thought.

Her last message was at 5.32 p.m., and then she's just gone completely blank.

We haven't had any contact.

No one has said anything.
