I'm moved by that, truly.

That was lovely.

Moving into this industry, moving to Toronto from my city, Windsor, I was afraid slightly to go to journalism school because of all of the conversations I've heard about, oh, journalism is dying, kind of as you said, and that scared me.

But throughout my schooling and throughout my time at the CBC, I've learned that people have and they always will want to know what's going on.

Whether it fits the rhetoric that they believe internally or not, people want to know.

They don't want to be kept in the dark.

And that was really special.
