What was that transition like?

Yeah, I mean, I, as you say, I started in, in single seaters when I was 17, which is, it's strange to say, but that's actually old now [laughs] um, to start in single seaters at, at 17.

A lot start testing now at 14, um, you know, some even younger, um, which is absolutely crazy to think about.

But, um, yeah, I, I did my season in British F4.

Um, I went back to do another, another year, um, and were really fast but, as you say, struggled financially, uh, and had to pull out of the season.

Um, but I was so fortunate that W Series was about that I could go into it.

And W Series, not too many people kind of know about now, but it, it was the predecessor of F1 Academy, let's say, but complete different championship, complete different series.

Luke, uh, Pelletier53 on Instagram asked, "If you had the chance to participate in the Indy 500, would you?"

And it's not a nice feeling when your teammate, uh, is, uh, is not s- well, is doing a lot better than you are and is leading the championship ahead of you by 50 points.

Yeah, Kimi's maximizing the package every time he goes out on track, and you can't dispute that.

Okay, like, in the start of the season, him and George are much closer and, and George was kind of breathing down his neck a little bit.

But, but h- he's not let any of that get to him, and he's really, really Made the most of it, and I'm a really big firm believer in you bring the people up around you, and you build that team around you.

And, and I think that's where Kimi's done that in this year.

He's really, really solidified what he needs, and maybe, maybe George is not commanding the team as much, or maybe he's brought these issues and they've not been listened to.

I, I mean, I'm not in the debrief, so I don't know fully what goes on, but I know he brought it up at Silverstone there's something wrong.

Uh, Max's future, what's gonna happen? Will Max stay at Red Bull? Will the merry-go-round continue? Will the merry-go-round stop because he's not moving anywhere? Um, Abby?

but still.

Yeah, I mean, I, I think as well i- in practice for him, he was so frustrated.

And the most annoying thing about Barcelona is you can see your deficits because you have that massive gantry going down the, the pitch straight, so you can see that you're, you're... you've got a time deficit.

And he's been saying all weekend, he's been half a second off and has no clue where it is, and obviously went away and, and went to his motor home, he said, between free practice three and qualifying, kind of screwed his head on and, and got things, got his ducks in line basically.

And, and in, in Q1 was, was the fastest, so he knew the balance was somewhere where he was happy.

He told the team going into Q3 after the red flag of his teammate Charles, "I want to do another banker lap on this set of tires no matter..." You know, the, the team wanted to send him straight out and give him one lap, but he, he wanted that kind of confidence and additional laps to just get it, get the job done and, and yeah, he, he did a brilliant job and it's exciting to see Hamilton in this new era, and he looks like he's got a new kind of spring of life into him.

And, and Norris, he'll be hoping to Finish the race tomorrow, 'cause he didn't finish in Canada, didn't finish last time out i, in Monaco, and he's completed the fewest Grand Prix racing laps of anyone this season.

Yeah, there are a lot of reliability issues with that Mercedes power unit, and it's bitten all of them in the bum at some point, other than Kimi Antonelli.
