So what was the original vision for The Living Roof? And how does that vision collaborate with the overall vision of the California Academy of Sciences?

Well, I guess I'll preface with a little bit about the background.

And I haven't been here for more than, I've been here for about five years, so I wasn't here during the originals.

But so my understanding of the original vision for the roof, you know, there's seven hills that mimic the seven hills of San Francisco.

We'd like to have a native landscape up there integrating with the park and then offering, you know, another exhibit for guests that come here as well, sort of, so to speak.

And so I think Renzo Piano, the original architect, actually just You know, we wanted to integrate with the landscape around us.
