Chulin Ayin Vav.

The Mishnah Ayin Vav deals with a number of treifas that involve leg injury.

One of them is Tzemach Hagidim.

The posek can speak out that nitot Tzemach Hagidim or sikah Tzemach Hagidim, we take the Tzemach Hagidim where it cuts or it snaps, it's considered a treifas.

They also bring from the Raavid that if it's a scaffold, ma'ale etzem, let's say it peeled off the bone, it would be considered a treifa if it went all the way up the leg with the length of the Tzemach Hagidim.

Even though it didn't actually rip, it would still be considered a treifa.
