What was your personal motivation to become the executive director of this organization?

Aaron Bos-LunGUEST
Yeah, so I mean, I got involved in Men for Choice at the end of 2019 when I got an email that Men for Choice was going to expand out of Illinois and nationally.

Aaron Bos-LunGUEST
And what I realized in that moment, and for me it was just reading the title of the email, the name Men for Choice, I kind of was like, "Is this about guys for abortion rights?" And I realized that in that moment in 2019, with the Supreme Court what it was, and I used to be a US history teacher, and I wasn't great at math, but I knew enough math to see the five votes at the time that were on the Supreme Court.

Aaron Bos-LunGUEST
I knew this basic freedom was, was at risk, and it occurred to me just from that email that I wasn't doing anything about it.

Aaron Bos-LunGUEST
Similarly, Men for Choice, when it was founded in that bar in 2015, was because our co-founder sat through a presentation where he learned in seven minutes about attacks happening on abortion access at that time in 2015, pre Donald Trump, pre Roe being overturned, and he realized, "How do I not know any of this, and how do no guys I know know any of this?" And so to me, because of my background as a public school teacher, being active in my teacher's union, various ways that I had tried to step up and make the community better, it felt like an obvious one that I was missing.

And I've always been very close with my grandma, who is one of those women who in the 1960s was studying hard sciences and was the only woman in her classes, and then became a professor later in the 1990s, was the first woman to get tenure in her department, and a lot of the, you know, older guys had given her a hard time.

Do you think that the 2026, 2028 elections will lead to a reversal of the Dobbs decision?
