Um, I, I watch a lot of football, and maybe, just maybe, we can, we can fix something that's broken.

Um, we have a problem with the NFL's YouTube, which is that they make these fantastic condensed versions of the games, and they, they post them to YouTube imminently, like, right when the game's over.

The problem is they give away the outcome-

Are you guys done with, uh, that for sure, and will you miss it at all?

Um, you know what? It actually comes out tomorrow on Paramount+, September 24th.

But, like, men in general, like, maybe it's, like, testosterone, like, whatever it is, but, like, men are, like, sort of, uh, programmed to be providers.

They're supposed to be macho.

They're supposed to look cool.

They're supposed to, like, be tough.

There's all this ego, and, like, that's what makes it work because, like, a guy who's supposed to be macho and seeing him fail, like, you can enjoy that, you know? And, and our willingness to not look cool, I think, was always endearing.

You know, our, our, our desire to have terrible things happen to us is compelling.

And I'm like, I always thought I wanted to have kids, but now I'm, like, really questioning it.

Yeah, I mean, they're... expensive pets incredibly expensive yes that's a great way to put it it used to be that that um children were like insurance policies and you wanted to have as many as possible because when you know like If things go well, you end up old and frail and in need of care.

Then you've got the kids to take care of you.

Literally, logistically, financially, or otherwise.

It's like your insurance for care when you're old and you need it.

But now...

You don't need it anymore.

Like, what was the trajectory like from you as a kid to then, you know, becoming this part of this franchise?

I mean, it was...

You know, I had my, like, I was a wild kid.

I was, you know...

Pretty all over the place.

I was certainly an attention seeker.

Like I found skateboarding.

Like what was that path like?

All of it.

No matter what you wanted, he had it.

And he had this weighing station.

he went through so much that this whole table, it was like a desk in his living room.

It just had this like incredible crust of just, you know, built up.

Like, I mean, it was, there was, you could just take a card and scrape that desk history of drugs.

And you were, you're on a trip.

[laughs] There was one problem [laughs] though.

The problem was, though, that not only did he sample his own product, he would inject it.

Yeah, he would inject it.

And, and, and I came to learn from this guy, I don't think it was only him, but, but he would in- inject cocaine, which meant that unlike heroin, you gotta inject, like, every, I don't know, like, 10 minutes or so.

And, um, that was, uh, I was having that feeling, I think, uh, like in the wake of Jackass Forever, which was 2002.

Um, it was, I remember, like, really kind of noticeably more intense, like, uh, as far as difficult to get around in public.

Um, and I was on tour, like, as well.

I don't know.

Like, um, overall I think I do pretty well with it, but it can...

Like, I, I set thresholds where, like, if, if it's too many people, if it's too much, like, I just gotta kinda try to get out of, uh, I just gotta kinda like get out of public areas.

Do you invest and dedicate yourself to your stand-up like you did when you were putting the VCRs together with the music?

For sure.

For sure.

And, um, in the beginning with the stand-up, it was, uh, you know, like, "This is a new thing and I'm gonna just put in the work and I'm gonna establish myself at it," and then I just did it every single night and, uh, not even being paid.

Like, was just in the comedy club every single night because this is something I wanted to do.

Um, I went out, like, you know, I, I went out in, in comedy clubs for the first five years, uh, kind of figuring it out.

I would, um, for those first five years I would, like, do my set of stand-up and then I would end with a set of repeatable stunts and tricks.

You gotta go back."

[laughs] Bro.

Like, uh, he, Knoxville felt that it would be safer if somebody else were to shoot him- From I believe like 12 feet away A distance, yeah Like, uh, I think maybe, I, I don't know what the rationale was there, but he went out to the desert and, uh, with a c- like, uh, maybe two or three friends who are off-camera, like palpably un- audibly uncomfortable, like begging him- Yeah ... to not be doing this.

This psycho Knoxville just puts one bullet in the chamber.

So he's like, like legit Russian roulette.

Roulette, yeah.

So you've got like this click- Uh-huh ... and everyone's like, "Oh, God, fine," you know? Cl- yeah, and like he, he, he was s- it's so m- it was, it made it so much worse for Knoxville.

You hear him say, "Man, I, I wish somebody would shoot me," and he's holding the gun backwards to himself.

I was, I was fired.

And it was, it sucked too because I, I like, I, I, I told those guys that ...

And I was like, "Dudes, like, MTV's gonna come and film me in the circus." They're like, "Yeah, that's great." I'm like, "Dude, I'm gonna be on a fucking MTV show." Like, the series had been ordered.

I knew exactly the date that you guys were coming.

They're like, "Oh yeah, that's great, that's great." And just exactly like I said was going to happen on the day I said it would happen, you guys showed up, and the circus owner was just fucking livid.

He's, "What are these assholes doing here filming my elephants?" I said, "I told you, this is the crew that's coming to film me in the circus, and today's the day I said it would happen." He says, "Why, why are they filming my elephants?" I said, "Dude, it's MTV.

[laughs]

the decision of it yep we're happy with that we've got a contract and that's it's a

great price the cracking price if you're looking at 3300 which is Look, we probably, because we're a builder, we don't have to, we cover all of our costs.

If we were just a draftee, we'd have to charge a lot more.

But it's all about commitment from clients.

They let us know they're serious, they're skin in the game.

The other cost gets into your overhead costs.

There's a strong chance that were it not for Jackass, that I would be in clown makeup right this [laughs] fucking minute.

I've seen generic letters, get this drafted, sign it, send it off to UEFA.

maybe we'll do something about it honestly for lack of better terms I think it actually overdosed on Meltdown content and we brought it back to life a couple of times because it was that funny but no jokes aside it's is brilliant it's one of the sweetest most delicious audio clips that you'll ever hear because there was all this conjecture about ending the game early and setting a precedence and it's going to bring the game into disrepute and even guys like Derek McInnes who I mean was just so angry that he forgot what he had said Derek has told us to get the play.

Once these players are off the pitch, he's happy for the game to end.

From what I understand, he was told, we'll come and speak to you after the Scottish Cup final.

I believe that you've been on the rowing machine every bit as much as you claim, and I think so far the joke of the night was growing machine.

I really, really enjoyed that.

Now, when somebody has a, a job in tech, you don't imagine they're living with their grandma.

What do you do in tech?

is a magic place, isn't it?

Yeah.

I was not arrested.

I did not even get a ticket.

And I was so, like, sensitive because I had... really badly wasted emergency responders time with a stunt where I was protesting SeaWorld on top of this big crane and it was like this crazy standoff and I just didn't want to repeat that and I felt bad about that still.

So I turned around after the billboard thing in LA and I got like a thousand prints of this killer photo of me on the billboard, signed them all.
