Oh,
yeah.
As we think about when we're recording this, we're kind of like, the summer is in the rearview mirror, and the fall is in front of us.
We're wearing t-shirts and not sweaters
right now.
Yes, we're wearing t-shirts.
Some of our schools have started.
Some have not.
Just for those who are watching or listening to just give a flavor of us, especially if they're new to the podcast, what are a few things you've been processing with student ministry lately?
Yeah, I mean, especially with the summer to fall switch, one had to learn and capitalize the transition times of not only milestones of whether kids coming in, so whether that's capitalizing on the
new students
coming up or the students going out, just being able to practically land on those and hit those on the head.
And I think we're getting better and better at that as time goes along.
But those are important.
And summer is usually kind of the bookends of those times, too.
So being intentional with that is really helpful.
It's interesting what you say.
I was recently training some youth workers over the stuff that I write about in the book.
And we say like in adult ministry, unless people die or move to other churches, once they come, that number is gonna get bigger and bigger and bigger.
In student ministry, every single year, you transition kids out as long as they pass the grade in school and you get new kids in.
Yeah.
And I was even in over the summer getting to teach one of our adult classes.
We talked about the helpful analogy of running track and really the baton passing was what I didn't run track.
So I actually saw my mom coach track and always wondered why they kept practicing the handoff.
Oh,
yeah.
